ListCity: Co-Op Your Way To Profits!

Welcome to ListCity, where e-zine owners advertise their newsletters and visitors easily subscribe to them with a click of the check box. The introduction is self-explanatory on the home page.

On the other hand, online marketers may create an account for themselves depending on whether they assume the role of an e-zine owner or advertisers. Advertisers can insert their text ads into other people's newsletters for exposure. For this article, I go into the details of the benefits for the e-zine owner.

What you need to know is that that getting subscribers through the co-op way is NOT free. However, that also means you can make profits out of the ListCity co-op program too. Check this page for details.

As far as the number of newsletters in each category is concerned, they are only as many as you can count with your fingers. I'm surprised more people didn't know they can get new subscribers and earn some money too. For now many subscribers pay attention to the concentrated few.

Here are some additional points sent by ListCity about the program:

1) A 2-tier affiliate program rewards you for new e-zines that you refer to ListCity. This is totally a unique approach to this type of site, and you will be amazed at how easily you will be able to get free, or really inexpensive double opt-in subscribers. You can receive a commission on all subscriptions that are generated from any e-zine affiliates whom you refer. You will receive 1¢ for each subscription. As well, you will enjoy a discount on your monthly cost for subscriber acquisition, equal to 20% of the number of subscribers that join e-zines that you recommend to ListCity as free subscribers.

2) You will earn 7¢ for every subscriber newsletter subscribed to when someone comes to ListCity by clicking on your unique link.

3) You will be charged 12¢ per double opt-in subscriber as compared to competitors for 15 to 20¢ per double opt-in subscriber.

4) A 2¢ per subscriber discount on all accounts that have a minimum balance of $50 in their account or a balance of equal to the previous month's billings (whichever is higher). The discount will begin and recalculate as long as the balance is in the account on the last day of the month prior to the month in question and will remain in force, as long as the month has a positive balance. As soon as the account goes below zero, the charges will revert to normal and will be reset to the 2 cent discount once the account achieved prepaid status again.

5) Get your newsletter a place in an optional Premium home page, at 3¢ per subscriber premium. If you choose this option, you do not have to choose the pre-checked option, as you may find a very high rate of subscribers, but the quality will not be as good as if they check it off themselves.

6) Get paid while you swap ads! Earn money when you swap ads with other e-zines. This 'swapped ad' is a link you create inside your account and it brings subscribers to your primary category back in List-City.com. Your newsletter will be at the top, and prechecked. This is a FREE service.

7) Low-cost list hosting available on ListCity itself.

The best way to work ListCity is to first set up all of your e-zine lists. Your newsletter will appear in the New Newsletter section for a period of 45 days, as well as the ones you chose and will appear in ListCity's next newsletter that goes out monthly to all double opt-in subscribers of the ListCity Newsletter.

Then, recommend (a good number is...) 10 of your colleagues to join. Then, start advertising ListCity often in your newsletters and website. Text ads and banners are available in the affiliate resource area.

Think of the check you will get if your account is prepaid or if you get 10 of your friends to join up under you. As long as you promote with your regular link, and you will receive credit. Please note that the affiliate program is available to only legitimate e-zine owners.
