marketing appears to be a relatively straight-forward proposition:

My
opinion (mixed with some experience) is this: the best
affiliate marketers 'pre-sell' the programs they are
promoting.
Why?
Because
in most cases the program itself does such a terrible job of promoting
themselves!
When
I first started promoting affiliate programs I wondered why I'd
get lots of click-throughs and very, very few sales out of it.
Well it occurred to me one day to **really** check out the site
of the program I was promoting.
To
my surprise, it was terrible!
Of
course I'd seen it when I signed up for the program but I
didn't seriously look at it from the buyer's perspective;
I looked at it as an affiliate opportunity seeker.
The
program was great and it paid a good commission, but the site
didn't sell the program very well.
That's
when I decided to start 'pre-selling' my affiliate programs...even
if it was a simple little page I directed PPC clicks to or even
mentioned in my newsletter. What I'd do is help the company I
was promoting put their 'best foot forward' by mentioning the
positive aspects of their program that wasn't obvious or was hidden
on their site.
Suddenly
my affiliate earnings started climbing rapidly
because I was 'pre-selling' them before sending potential buyers
off to the programs' site.
I
think you'll find the same thing happening in your own business.
If you don't pre-sell your programs you'll get lots of click-throughs
but few sales. Try a 'landing page' that pre-sells the
program before sending them on the program's site. You'll
have a much better chance of earning a commission.
Moral
of the story: Don't trust the standard affiliate sales letter
too much to do the pre-selling for you. It's likely to sound very
generic. Add a little more of your own creativity and language
into the template to give it some 'oomph'. Neatest trick: Sell
as if it is your own product.

Mastery in one's career and consciousness growth simply requires
that we constantly produce results beyond and out of the
ordinary. Mastery is a product of consistently going
beyond our limits. For most people, it starts with technical
excellence in a chosen field and a commitment to that excellence.
If you are willing to commit yourself to excellence,
to surround yourself with things that represent this and miracles
(when we speak of miracles, we speak of events or experiences
in the real world which are beyond the ordinary), your life will
change.
It's
remarkable how much mediocrity we live with, surrounding ourselves
with daily reminders that the average is acceptable. Our
world suffers from terminal normality. Take a moment
to assess all of the things around you that promote you being
'average'. These are the things that keep you powerless to go
beyond a 'limit' you arbitarily set for yourself. The first step
to Mastery is the removal of everything in your environment
that represents mediocrity, removing those things that
are limiting. One way is to surround yourself with friends who
ask more of you than you do, e.g. your teachers, coaches, parents
etc.
Another
step on the path of Mastery is the removal of resentment towards
Masters. Develop compassion for yourself so that
you can be in the presence of Masters and grow from the experience.
Rather than comparing yourself or resenting people who have Mastery,
remain open and receptive, let the experience
be like the planting of a seed within you that, with nourishment,
will grow into your own individual Master.
You
see
, we are all ordinary. But a Master, rather than condemning
himself for his 'ordinariness', will embrace it and use it as
a foundation for building the extraordinary.
Rather than using it as an excuse for inactivity, he will use
it as a vehicle for correcting which is essential in the process
of attaining Mastery. You must be able to correct yourself without
invalidating or condemning yourself, to accept results and improve
on them. Correct, don't protect. Correction is essential
to power and Mastery.

In
Issue
#28, we highlighted the busker with no sight crooning his
way into the hearts of his audience. On Thursday night, he was
voted as the last man standing in the men's final.
The
grand finale on 1st September pits boy against girl, but apparently
his supporter base is much larger than initially thought, as more
people begin to identify with the superhuman strength they aspire
towards.
By
the way, he has no formal training in singing. Now that's
the surprise of the century.
